Mrs. Tela Geiger, Teacher

My name is Tela Geiger and I am blessed to be teaching second grade at St. Patrick School. I am a graduate of Gibraltar Carlson High School and Central Michigan University. My husband Nathan is a special education teacher at Melvindale High School and together we have three children: Mary, Jonathon and Maggie. Our school age children currently attend St. Mary Catholic Central High School.   I am an active member of St. Michael Parish in Monroe where I serve as a member of the Finance Council. After earning my BSBA in Finance at Central Michigan University I spent 15 years in the Financial Advising Industry before making the decision to stay home full time with my family. During that time, I was a substitute teacher for Monroe Catholic Elementary Schools and in the Monroe County Public Schools. I come to St. Patrick School through the Michigan Teachers of Tomorrow program. After completing coursework preparing me for the classroom, I earned my teaching certificate through a mentorship program teaching second grade here at St. Patrick School. I am delighted to be a part of this amazing school community!
